Analysis of Zero Draft Submissions
Stakeholder Forum has undertaken an analysis of the submissions
to the UN. This analysis identifies the insights to be found in the
Zero Draft submission documents by creating a database of 97 key
terms relevant to Rio+20 and determines which organisations have
expressed interest in these terms.
UNDESA Synthesis Review of Agenda 21 and the Rio Principles
One of the defining moments for sustainable development has been the
United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) that
was held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. The Rio conference came twenty years
after its predecessor conference in Stockholm. UNCED gave birth to a
number of international instruments that continue to provide the framework
for sustainable development.
