Roadmap to 2015
Practice - renewables 2004 - Survey - Partnering - EEPCA

Project Outline:

Strengthening of the "Energy and Environment Partnership with Central America". Since June 2003, the Partnership is developing projects to promote the use of renewable energies in the region, with the advice and financial support of the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (this Ministry grants EUR 1 million per year); but there are still a lot of activities and new projects that have to be done in this area, to contribute to the regional sustainable development, and some times it’s not possible due to the resources limitation. For these reasons, this Initiative is looking for new Partners who can support the activities and projects, counting on with a well established organizational structure, that already works with the Ministries of Environment of the 7 Central American countries, the CCAD, SICA and the Finnish Government (the Chairman of the Steering Committee comes from the Ministry of Environment of Finland), and also has an excellent networking, in order to obtain the best possible performance.

Type of partnering sought:
  • Technical expertise
  • Finance or funding
  • Federal or National Level Government
