| Project
Outline:
This project is aimed at strengthening Centres
for Appropriate Technology (CAT Clubs) in schools and providing
improved cook stoves in these schools to cut down the amount
of fuel wood used for cooking/baking/water heating and improve
the conditions of the kitchens in Boarding Schools. It will
also involve the training of local technicians and women in
the design, construction and delivery of improved cookstoves
and this will be accompanied by general sensitization on the
disadvantages of the three stone open fireside which is still
on rampant use in Cameroon. Over 90% of Cameroonians still use
the three stone fireside.
