The 64th Annual UN Conference of NGOs, associated with the UN Department of Public Information (DPI), will be held in Bonn, Germany, from Saturday 3 September to Monday 5 September, 2011.
Stakeholder Forum's Executive Director, Felix Dodds, will be chairing the conference which aims to highlight effective ways in which citizens and civil society, in partnership with other stakeholders, can contribute to creating and maintaining sustainable societies – economical, cultural and environmental.
An invitation to the event is available here.
The Conference will be a major means for civil society to contribute to the Rio+20 Earth Summit. Find out more about Rio+20 by visiting Stakeholder Forum's dedicated website: www.earthsummit2012.org
It will provide valuable network-building opportunities for all participants. In addition to representatives of NGOs, also present will be civil society organizations, grassroots constituencies, the UN system and Member States, representatives of the media, academia, the private sector and other institutions.
On-line registration will begin in early 2011. Until the Conference website is launched, additional information can be found on the DPI/NGO Relations website.
