This paper will offer a ‘think piece’ looking at possible approaches to the future of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD).

The Johannesburg Earth Summit 2002 offers us a chance to review the international architecture that we are operating with. This very important work needs to be supplemented by a similar discussion on economic governance and also the future of the UNCSD.
