Side event convened by Stakeholder Forum.

A side event was convened by Stakeholder Forum to help kick off the debate about the future of the CSD asking questions such as:

  • Can it become a more effective body in terms of mobilizing implementation of sustainable development?
  • How can stakeholders be more effectively involved and listed to in the process?
  • Do governments really want it to focus more on implementation of sustainable development?
  • How will the Type II partnerships be supported and reviewed in the years ahead?
  • What policy tools and options are available to help enhance all of these areas?
