Stakeholder Input to the IGR-2: An analysis
This paper aims to offer an analysis of the contribution of stakeholders to the Beijing Declaration. It shows that stakeholders directly contributed nearly 20% of the text of the Beijing Declaration. In addition, stakeholders likely had an influence on a further 6% of the text, by offering suggestions which were adapted in the final Declaration. Stakeholders offered suggestions on the inclusion of numerous important issues.

IGR-2 Outcomes Edition
IGR-2 Special Series
3 Editions of GPA Outreach will be produced at IGR-2 on days 1, 3, and 5. The IGR-2 Special Series aims to highlight the important contribution of stakeholders to the implementation of the GPA. Over the week, this newsletter will include articles on the role of Major Groups and other stakeholders in implementing the GPA and provide space for representatives to express their views and policy recommendations for the IGR-2 and beyond.

World Water Week Special Series
The Special Series of GPA Outreach, produced at the World Water Week in Stockholm (20-26 August 2006) aims to spread the message of the importance of linking coastal, marine, and freshwater environments and to raise awareness about the important role of the GPA. This Special Series of GPA Outreach is produced by Stakeholder Forum and the Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts and Islands, in collaboration with the UNEP/GPA Coordination Office and the Stockholm International Water Institute.
