Stakeholder Forum is a UK based not-for
profit multi-stakeholder organisation.
The organisation is divided into 4 main departments, under
the direction of the Executive Director, which deliver its project
work as follows:
In addition it also has a UK domestic arm which operates under
the organisations historic title, UNED UK Committee. This UK
arm retains its status at UNEP's National Committee in the UK
and as UNDP's UK Focal Point.
Under its constitution, Stakeholder Forum is directed by its
Executive Committee, a group of UK
based stakeholder organisations including representatives from
all Major Groups. Members of this Committee are elected for
2 year terms at Stakeholder Forum's Annual General Meeting,
with a 2-term limit for any one organisation. The Chair
of this Committee is also the non-executive chairman of
Stakeholder Forum.
Stakeholder Forum's international activities are guided by
the organisations International Advisory
Board. The IAB is made up of over 40 international stakeholder
organisations from all parts of the world. The IAB, which provides
a non-executive role, meets periodicaly to review Stakeholder
Forum's work and to help determine future work programmes. The
Co-Chairs of the IAB lead the organisations international work.
Stakeholder Forum has recently been joined by 5 Honorary
Vice Presidents, all former Chair's of the UN Commission
on Sustainable Development. These Vice Presidents ensure that
the organisations work bears relevance at both high level international
processes as well as in their own respective region.
Stakeholder Forum is part of the UNA-UK
group of companies, with charitable status in the UK. |
