About Us - Stakeholder Forum - Multi-Stakeholder Processes
  • Facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues on key Sustainable Development policy issues, including Agriculture, Energy, Health and Water.
  • Developing processes to encourage the transition from multi-stakeholder dialogue to implementation.
  • Supporting the creation of multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaborative action.
  • Enhancing linkages and networks between different stakeholder groups working at local, national, regional and international levels.

The Facilitation of Multi-Stakeholder Processes
International Award Scheme on Sustainable Development Partnerships in partnership with IUCN and UNEP.
Carpathian Convention Stakeholder Implementation Strategy.
Implementation Conference Africa, hosted by the Government of Ghana.
Multi-Stakeholder Dialogues around the International Energy Conference, hosted by the German Government.
Examples of previous activities:
Hosting of multi-stakeholder dialogues during;
Environment for Europe, Kiev (2003);
Regional WSSD preparations in Africa & Europe (2002);
Bonn Freshwater Dialogues (2002);
Implementation Conference: Stakeholder Action For Our Common Future (2002):
Hosted in Johannesburg, prior to the WSSD;
Over 400 participants, from a variety of stakeholder groups;
Development and launch of 24 collaborative stakeholder action plans, within overarching areas of Water, Energy, Agriculture and Health.
Documenting Multi-stakeholder Processes:
Guidelines for Multi-stakeholder Processes (MSPs): A review of selected MSP case-studies;
MSPs for Governance & Sustainability - Beyond Deadlock and Conflict (Earthscan 2002).
