About Us - Stakeholder Forum - Capacity Building
  • Building networks of stakeholders to support their participation in delivering the sustainable development agreements and Millennium Development Goals.
  • Providing material to assist stakeholders understanding of national, regional and international sustainable development processes.
  • Convening meetings between and amongst stakeholders and governments in support of the international sustainable development process.
  • Facilitating Improved stakeholder dialogue at the WTO.
  • Promoting the Decade on Education for Sustainable Development.
  • Network of Regional Government for Sustainable Development.
  • Seeking to ensure Secure & Equitable Access to Land in Africa.
  • Promoting the Potential of the Environmental Court of Justice.
  • Helping to develop the Academic Forum on Sustainable Development.

Examples of previous activities

  • Training: Organized training for participation in the Summit the PrepComs in Africa, Europe, and West Asia as well at PrepComs 2, 3, and at WSSD itself.
  • We produced the booklet 'How to Lobby' - this is being published into a book;
  • Lobbying: Developed position papers on the overall framework of WSSD Type 1 and 2 outcomes.
  • Lobby Guides: Published guidelines on effective stakeholder lobbying at intergovernmental meetings.
